About the course

Our Senior’s course is focused on consort style singing in a smaller group.
This course is designed for those aged 13-18 who have some singing experience. If you have any queries please do get in touch.

This summer we will be working on Vaughan Williams’s much-loved English folk song arrangements called ‘Five English folk Songs’; as well as some of the Elizabethan madrigals that inspired him.

About the venue

St Catharine’s College was founded in 1473 and is situated in the historic city-centre of Cambridge, just south of King’s College and across the street from Corpus Christi College. The college is notable for its open court (rather than closed quadrangle) that faces towards Trumpington Street.

St Catharine’s boasts a fine musical tradition and the rites of the Church of England are enriched by the excellent contribution of the Choir and Organ Scholars. The three-manual organ is one of the finest instruments in Cambridge today and the Chapel is a popular venue for recitals and other performances.
