About the course

The Seniors’ course is designed for children aged 13+ who would like to advance their singing skills further, and have some experience of repertoire for full SATB choir. It is an ideal compliment to other musical activities – training key skills such as ensemble, pitching, harmonic awareness and music appreciation. To that end, we select a variety of four-voice works which are both fun and challenging. As well as all voice parts, we are happy to take boys’ voices which are changing.

Spaces are limited.

About the venue

St Catharine’s College was founded in 1473 and is situated in the historic city-centre of Cambridge, just south of King’s College and across the street from Corpus Christi College. The college is notable for its open court (rather than closed quadrangle) that faces towards Trumpington Street.

St Catharine’s boasts a fine musical tradition and the rites of the Church of England are enriched by the excellent contribution of the Choir and Organ Scholars. The three-manual organ is one of the finest instruments in Cambridge today and the Chapel is a popular venue for recitals and other performances.

The Oxford and Cambridge Singing School Ltd is a not-for-profit organization that offers non-residential courses for children and young adults. The Oxford and Cambridge Singing School contracts with Cambridge Colleges for the use of their facilities; this event otherwise has no formal connection or association with the University of Cambridge or it’s colleges.
